Introduction
As living standards improve, there is a growing preference for high-quality building materials. However, the most expensive option is not always necessary. Often, what matters most is that materials are safe, aesthetically pleasing, and comfortable—without overspending. Understanding the two main density grades of fiber cement slabs can help you make a well-informed choice.

What Is Fiber Cement Board?

  1. Fiber cement board is a high-strength, durable silicate panel known for its excellent performance.

  2. The standard size is 1200×2400 mm, with thickness ranging from 4 to 40 mm. Custom sizes, such as 1220×2440 mm, are also available upon request.

Two Main Density Grades

  1. Medium Density Board (1.2–1.5 g/cm³)
Suitable for interior applications such as ceilings and partition walls. Not recommended for exterior use.

  2. High Density Board (1.5–2.0 g/cm³)
Offers superior quality and versatile use. It meets structural requirements while supporting customized decorative finishes.

Primary Applications

  1. Medium Density Board
Commonly used in laminate flooring, door panels, partitions, furniture, and interior surfaces requiring painted finishes.

  2. High Density Board
Ideal for indoor and outdoor decoration, office and residential furniture, audio equipment, vehicle interiors, anti-static flooring in server rooms, wall panels, security doors, and partitions. It also serves as reliable packaging material. In recent years, it has been widely adopted as a base material for laminate flooring.
