Air duct fireproof board is a kind of fireproof material specially used for ventilation or smoke exhaust duct in construction projects. Huachengxing air duct fireproof board is a new green building material with high stability. Huachengxing Air Duct Fireproof Board is manufactured using high-grade fire-resistant quartz powder, flame-retardant minerals (mica, perlite), cement, and various additives as raw materials. It is reinforced with premium refractory composite fibers and other mineral fibers. Through advanced production techniques, the board is molded and then specially treated under high pressure, high temperature, and steam curing processes to ensure superior performance.

Iv. Installation method
Self-supporting Fireproof Board Air Duct:
The structure of the self-supporting fireproof board air duct is illustrated in Figure 1, with a detailed enlarged view of its corner joint provided in Figure 2.
Fireproof Cladding for Metal Air Ducts:
The structure of a metal air duct with external fireproof board cladding is shown in Figure 3, and a detailed view of the joint is provided in Figure 4.
A U-shaped light-gauge steel channel is fixed to the exterior of the metal duct, and the fireproof board is then attached to this steel framework.
Plate Cutting and Forming:
The four wall panels of a rectangular fireproof board air duct shall be cut according to the construction drawings, duct dimensions, and plate thickness. This includes the plates required for duct bends and sections with diameter changes.
Plate Specifications:
Size: 2440 mm × 1220 mm
Thickness: 9 mm, 12 mm, or 15 mm
Typically, each duct section is made 1220 mm long based on the plate width. When the duct length is ≤ 1220 mm, or the sum of its two side lengths is ≤ 1220 mm, the duct can be fabricated along the 2440 mm length of the plate to reduce the number of joints.
Splicing of duct panels should be avoided where possible. When splicing is necessary, it shall comply with the requirements shown in Figure 5, and reinforced measures shall be applied at the spliced sections of the duct.
